We do have a programs calendar on the seymour library web page.

http://www.seymourlibraryweb.org

Go to the program calendar and everything is listed. You can also get notification when an event is coming up. If you register for programs we call you to remind you that it’s coming up.

I just post the events on the blog as a reminder of what is going on. The brochure is also available in the library but I figure some people may want one available online.

If you have any questions about programs, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Hi,
I’m new to Brockport and very much exploring. I’m into Google Calendar and wonder if you’ve done or explored the possibility of creating a public Google Calendar page of the events at Seymour Library that folks like myself can subscribe to? It’s very simple and not very time consuming. Thanks.

I don’t know about that. It seems like books that are made into movies are never as good and that goes for video game movies as well.

I finally saw Shopgirl the movie. It was disappointing. The characters didn’t seem as full bodied as the book had them. I didn’t like Mirabella as much. I also thought Steve Martin was too likable as Ray. I felt he really loved her and didn’t understand his betrayal. He was too much like the real Steve Martin to play Ray.

I’ll have to check out the movie again. I remember very little from it except that there is a female character that is also a main character. She doesn’t show up in the book as the same character. I also remember the movie being very bright and very mod. It definitely had a 70’s feel to.

I agree with you..Shopgirl the book was fantastic. The movie was disappointing…even with such a great cast. Will they ever be able to do books justice on the big screen?
